Quarter to four in the morning is prime deep sleep time for most people, but Archer operates on his own clock. On the @siberianderpskies Instagram page, this black and white Husky is seen standing in the pouring rain on a dark patio. He refuses to come inside, forcing his exhausted dad to investigate the 3:45 AM commotion. While his sister Leia was likely cozy inside, Archer stayed out to bark up a storm. He decided he needed a specific toy to sleep and that simply could not wait until sunrise.

The video shows Dad opening the door to find Archer drenched and looking incredibly serious. He narrates the ordeal, clearly bewildered by the timing of his pup’s demands. As the Husky shakes off the rainwater, he points toward a dark corner by his crate. Dad finally spots the issue: a chocolate-covered strawberry squeaky toy is wedged deep underneath. Archer blinks helplessly at the camera, looking like his entire world has ended.

“I can’t reach it, Archer,” Dad tells him while filming the awkward angle. The dog just stares back with zero sympathy for the human’s physical limitations. One viewer joked that Archer’s expression basically said, “That sounds like a you problem.” Dad’s caption also pointed out to the fact that this is exactly why people need to research the breed before bringing one home.

Eventually, Dad manages to retrieve the toy, and he tosses it onto the elevated bed. Archer grabs the strawberry and starts squeaking it despite the rain still falling. He does a little victory prance and heads straight back into the house. “You made him so happy,” one commenter noted after seeing the dog’s innocent face. Over 100,000 people liked the post because it’s just so sweet.

Dad ends the video by reminding himself how much he loves his Husky aka “International Pup of Mystery.” And it’s true, you’d only go out in the rain at 3:45 am for someone you adore. It takes a whole lot of love and patience to go on a rescue mission at that hour.
