It’s the adults who have to learn grammar and vocabulary; toddlers and dogs, on the other hand, just get each other without any of that. Baker is a very chill Golden living in Florida with a big heart and sleepy eyes.

Over at @baker.the.goodboy, a new clip shows him hanging out on the couch. The smallest human in the house is explaining something very important to him. He is a Golden Retriever, which means he has the patience to listen to very long stories, as can be seen in this video. He just sits there and takes it all in. Most importantly, he never interrupts her while she is talking.

Toddler appears to communicate with a Golden Retriever in cute video

The toddler stands right in front of the Golden Retriever in the video. She holds a toy and talks with so much feeling. There are deep sighs and high-pitched bits, making it sound exactly like a real conversation. But nobody else knows what she is saying. Baker looks right at her, and he seems to follow every word.

For all we know, they might be discussing a particular toy. There was a little debate earlier about who it actually belongs to. This Golden Retriever definitely thinks most things in the house are his. But he is listening anyway.

And then the toddler notices the window blinds. She gets excited, and her voice goes way up. And Baker reacts immediately. His ears perk up. He looks toward the window to see what the big deal is.

The Golden is as invested in her find as she is. “Conversations only Baker understands,” the caption says. And he does look like he speaks fluent toddler. You can tell he is trying to answer back with his eyes.

This video has over 1,900 likes. People love their bond. Some fans think he really does understand her perfectly. Others think he looks a little confused but is too polite to leave. But he stays right there on the couch. He is just a very good listener. The comments are full of heart eyes and laughing emojis because the video has brought the viewers so much joy.
