An Instagram video tells the story of an overlooked shelter dog named Tampa, who has been waiting for someone to pick her up. She has been in the kennel for nearly three months and has “witnessed” many canines being chosen by their forever families.
Unfortunately, the special day has yet to come for the 1.3-year-old. According to the volunteer, the pup is “one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs.” Unlike other canines, Tampa feels the “safest in a long time” at the shelter.
Shelter dog often overlooked waits for someone to adopt her
In a heartbreaking dog video on Instagram, a shelter dog named Tampa is seemingly used to feeling invisible. It has been over three months since the fur baby was waiting for someone to adopt her. Through an on-screen text, the uploader mentions, “I visited the shelter to meet a dog that has been unwanted for months.”
So, the volunteer plans to spend some time with her and distract her from reality. She dresses her up in a pink onesie and puts ribbons around her ears. “A makeover won’t heal her broken heart, but it never hurts to try,” a text displays on the screen.
Furthermore, the caption states that the shelter dog was found with “no fur and skin issues.” While she has recovered, the pup has yet to be adopted. “Tampa has witnessed so many dogs get to go home in the last 3 months. Everyone but her. It’s time for someone to finally choose her too,” the volunteer mentions.
Viewers called Tampa “sweet” and “beautiful” in the comments. A user also wrote, “She’s so cute in that pink.” Another commented, “OMG WHAT AN ADORABLE LITTLE LANDSEAL.” Many prayed that the shelter dog would soon find her forever home. The Instagram post has received over 1K likes as of this writing.
