Peggy has absolutely no intention of letting a perfectly good belly rub end early. Shared by @piggygirlpeggy, this video shows the sweet rescue dog come up with the gentlest reminder after her human pauses the belly scratches. There’s no whining or nudging for attention; instead, Peggy simply lifts one paw and rests it on her mom’s hand. Politely asking her to keep going. Moments like this are probably why so many people say bringing a rescue home changes two lives at once, the dog’s as well as the human’s.

The clip opens with mom and Peggy relaxing on the couch in the living room. Her mom is filming this with one hand while the other is dedicated to giving her belly rubs. The on-screen text jokes, “And she only cost me one adoption fee,” a playful nod to the fact that some of life’s greatest joys don’t come with the biggest price tags.

Peggy looks like she is in bliss land. Then her mom pauses for just a moment and rests her hand on her own leg. That’s all it takes. Without doing much else, Peggy slowly reaches over and places one paw on top of her mom’s hand.

The Bully breed dog doesn’t paw at it or pull it back toward her. She simply leaves it there, like a quiet reminder that the job isn’t finished yet. Then she settles back down, still keeping her paw exactly where it is. An emotional audio about love from the film Little Women makes the scene even sweeter, but Peggy’s message comes through perfectly without any words.

The video has racked up nearly 100,000 likes, and viewers couldn’t get enough. “Get back to scratching,” one person joked. Another commented, “the best $125 ever spent,” remembering their own rescue. Others simply melted over how gentle she was, with one commenter describing her as “a sweet potato.” A quick scroll through Peggy’s page makes it clear this is the kind of life every rescue deserves. She’s loved, thoroughly spoiled, and completely devoted to her person.
