This rescue dog named Cactus showed his puppy brother what brotherhood is all about. In homes that already have a pet, bringing home another puppy can often raise questions about how the two will get along. But with time, patience, and a little understanding, things can settle beautifully, just like shown in this video.

A playful exchange between this rescue dog named Cactus and his puppy brother is truly wholesome to watch. The clip was shared by @cactustherescue on Instagram and features Cactus and his younger sibling, Cowboy. While the two dogs obviously can’t speak to each other, the playful narration in the video creates an adorable imaginary conversation about what being brothers might mean to them.

As Cowboy appears to ask his older brother what brotherhood is all about, the video humorously presents Cactus explaining its true meaning. According to the playful narration, brotherhood means never being alone because they will always have each other’s backs. Come what may, they will stick together and remain inseparable. Whether it’s good times or bad, they won’t leave each other’s side and will always support one another.

The sweet exchange then takes a funny turn when Cowboy appears to have one genuine question: Would all of this still apply if he steals Cactus’s toys or annoys him? Cactus first gives a head tilt, as if saying, “It is complicated.” However, he soon regains his composure and appears to suggest that even if Cowboy annoys him or steals his toys, he will still be his best brother forever.

The video ends with the two sharing an adorable “love you” moment. The beautiful video quickly went viral, surpassing 83K likes. Viewers flooded the comments with praise and love for the dogs. One user wrote, “Oh just make me smile, laugh and cry all at once why not.” Another commented, “Cactus is the best big brother to cowboy.” All in all, the video beautifully captures the playful bond between Cactus and Cowboy.
