A Golden Retriever named Skye Blue is the latest scene‑stealer on Instagram after a video of her being upset over dinner has been making viewers laugh. Instagram user and Skye’s owner, @mackandskye, shows the Golden sulking and “pouting” on the couch. Why? Her owners decide to enjoy their meal without offering her a bite from their meal. And honestly, her temperament is understandable.

Golden Retriever’s pout says it all after owner refuse to share their dinner

In the video, Skye buries her face deep into the cushions, refusing to look at anyone. Meanwhile, her mom explains in the on-screen caption that the Golden Retriever was upset “because we aren’t sharing our dinner.” Her owner films the scene and then calls out, “Skye Blue,” prompting an instant reaction from the dog. The Golden pops her head up really fast. Plus, gives her family a perfect pout and stare before descending back to the couch. The video caption reveals that this was “an every night thing.”

Skye’s moody expression is perfect, at least enough to match the way she presses her head into the couch, adding to the melodrama. Anyone who has lived with a dog knows this look too well. Dogs often “pout” like this because they pick up on routines and expect their owners to include them, and when something changes, like their owner not sharing dinner, they know how to grab attention.

Viewers loved every second of the video. One commenter wrote, “So adorable,” while another user added, “Love it.” Moreover, a fellow dog owner chimed in, writing, “Hi new friend, I’m Bruce! I do the same thing ? must dig head in pillows.”

The Golden Retriever being upset over dinner is harmless, and many dogs display this kind of behavior as a way to seek attention or express frustration. Looking at how often Skye puts on this performance, she definitely believes her protest is worth a shot to have her mom share her dinner.
