An equally hilarious and adorable video from Instagram user @baker.the.goodboy shows Baker the Golden Retriever yearning for a toy that unfortunately does not belong to him. But hey, he believes that if anything is a toy, it belongs to him. In the video, Baker watches a toddler receive a new toy and looks visibly offended that no one consulted him first.

The video opens on the floor, showing a toddler sitting near an adult who is holding up a plush Olaf toy, while the Golden Retriever sits close by. Honestly, he stares with the intensity of someone tracking a crime in progress. The on-screen text explains what is going on there: “When your dog is fully convinced the new toy your toddler got was actually his.”

As Baker glances up to the owner recording the video, another caption adds, “Looking to me for help.” He looks like he is about to file an official complaint. Then, a third on-screen text adds, “Watching so closely,” before following up with the reason this Golden Retriever cannot stop staring at the toddler: “So jealous.”

The best part is that Baker doesn’t even try to steal the toy. He just watches and waits. Moreover, he looks like he is trying to figure out when the adults will correct what he sees as a clear mistake. In the caption, the owner adds onto the jpke, writing, “Apparently Olaf didn’t get the memo that he’s not a dog toy ?”

Anyone who lives with a Golden Retriever knows that this video is not just about the toy. Dogs want to share every special moment with their loved ones. If anyone gets excited about something, dogs might decide they need to be involved as well. It could be jealousy, but it could also be pure curiosity. Either way, Baker’s watchful stance says that Olaf may belong to the toddler today. Nevertheless, Baker is not giving up hope anytime soon.
