That split second of heart-pounding panic when you can’t find your pup in their usual spot is just the worst. You call their name and only hear silence in return. But Quokka’s mom had things under control, even when checking the crate, and the couch turned up zero results.

Quokka from @amospearce simply decided she needed a total change of scenery. We follow the rescue dog’s mom as she searches everywhere for her favorite girl in this video, until she finds her in the garden.

The video starts with a shot of an empty recliner. It has all the signs of a dog being there recently. We can see a soft blanket and a toy, but Quokka is suspiciously missing. The text on the screen says she isn’t in her chair. Next, the camera moves to her indoor crate, which is also vacant. Even the outdoor couch is empty. Her toys are just lying around on the patio, but there is no sign of her. Quokka’s mom is clearly getting more and more curious about the disappearing act.

Finally, she gets an idea and starts walking down a stone path while filming. She follows the trail toward the back of the yard. Then the camera tilts up toward the flower bed, and there she is. This rescue dog is tucked right into the greenery in her “garden.”

Her tail starts wagging as soon as she sees her favorite person. She isn’t doing anything wrong other than relaxing in a secret spot. She seems very happy among the plants. Quokka sits up for a second, flops right back down, and then she closes her eyes to enjoy the peace.

“Her new favorite spot,” her owner shared in the caption. Someone commented, “Queen Quokka is looking very much at home,” and that feels exactly right. Another said, “So many peaceful places for resting,” which might be the whole point. She didn’t go missing. She just found somewhere better.
