A shelter dog named Meg was “trembling” inside her kennel walls when a human, a volunteer, went on to visit her. There’s nothing more heartbreaking than witnessing a fur baby living in a constant state of fear. On June 30, the volunteer took to Instagram to post an emotional video of the shelter dog through the account @iloverescue. A heartwarming video on Instagram showcased a shelter dog named Meg watching a human, a volunteer with immense fear in her eyes. The dog hopes that someone comes to rescue her before it’s too late. The video has captured the hearts of many on the internet.

In the caption of the post, the volunteer revealed, “MEG SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 7/1 @ 2PM.” The caption further read, “Meg is a 2 year old tan and white pit bull terrier type girl who came in as a stray. And what’s getting me about her isn’t anything complicated… it’s her.”

The volunteer then explained, “When I saw her, she was just in her kennel on her bed, shaking. Not pacing, not barking, not doing anything “urgent” in the way people think of it.” They continued, “Just trembling in a corner like she was trying to disappear into herself and get through another moment. It almost felt like she knows she might be next.” The caption also read, “Please don’t let her become another name we say after the fact.”

The Instagram video began by giving a closer look at the shelter dog, Meg. She was sitting inside her kennel. She had clear signs of fear in her eyes. She was shaking. After seeing the volunteer, she eventually lifted her face to greet the human. The fur baby deserves a chance at life. She needs someone to see her and provide her with a forever-loving home.
