Working from home sounds peaceful in theory unless you happen to share your office with two border collies carrying a tennis ball and absolutely no respect for deadlines. A hilarious video posted by Instagram account @bordercolliefam is making dog owners everywhere feel seen after two determined border collies repeatedly interrupted their owner’s workday with one very clear demand.

The video opened with the dogs pressed close beside their owner’s chair, staring intently at a bright green tennis ball. The text overlay immediately explained the situation: “When you work from home and have border collies.” In other words, productivity never stood a chance. One of the collies carefully rested the tennis ball against the owner’s lap while maintaining direct eye contact, almost like a polite reminder.

Meanwhile, the second dog hovered nearby, waiting for the inevitable game of fetch to begin. The caption summed up the daily routine perfectly: “full-time job throwing the ball.”

Viewers instantly recognized the familiar border collie behavior and flooded the comments section with support for the dogs’ relentless campaign for playtime. “They’ve got needs, human!” one viewer joked. Another commenter wrote, “My collie was exactly like this.” “The best work buddies ever,” one user added. Another viewer declared, “Work is over! Let’s play!” One commenter laughed, “Yep, that distraction would work.”

The clip came from the Instagram account @bordercolliefam, which has more than 4,406 followers. The account introduces itself as “a family of border collies” and features three dogs named Zara, Roman, and Storm.

According to the bio, Zara is the mum, Roman is the dad, and Storm is their daughter. The page regularly shares funny moments, memories, puppy updates, and everyday life with the energetic collie trio. Border collies are widely considered one of the smartest and most energetic dog breeds in the world.
