Sitting in a cold clinic waiting room is enough to make absolutely anyone crave a hug. And a hilarious new update from @midge.the.pitty shows that exact feeling is totally universal for four-legged patients too. This well-behaved dog stayed remarkably brave during a routine vet visit with her mom.

She’s almost a model patient that every veterinary clinic dreams about. Still, a few unfamiliar sounds and a long wait are enough to remind her that having emotional support on hand is pretty nice, too.

Dog goes from being a ‘perfect angel’ to finding comfort in mom’s arms at the vet

The Instagram reel kicks off right at the front desk, where Midge walks up to the counter and waits for her appointment. A moment later, the rescue Pit Bull is sitting patiently on a chair, perfectly still, while her tail gives the occasional wag. The on-screen text reads, “Wdym my dog is this cute at the vet,” and really, you can’t argue with that assessment because Midge looks absolutely adorable.

The clip then cuts to a selfie of the pair waiting together under the bright clinic lights. Mom looks relaxed. Midge seems content, too, though she’s clearly keeping an eye on everything happening around her.

Soon, she’s sitting on the floor facing the door, ears shifting backward when she hears a noise outside. It’s a small reaction, but one many pet owners will recognize immediately. Even the best-behaved dogs can get a little uncertain during a vet visit. Thankfully, mom is right there with pats and reassurance.

When the video returns to selfie mode, Midge has moved even closer, pressing herself against her favorite person while looking just a bit concerned about whatever might happen next. Mom gently pets her and laughs affectionately at the worried expression.

That’s what makes the video so relatable. One minute, the dog is the picture of confidence, and the next, she’s looking to mom for comfort and encouragement. As of the time of writing, the clip has earned more than 1,800 likes, with viewers praising Midge’s sweet personality.
